The Flavours of Herriot Country Awards

A truly Foodtastic Awards Event!

The Flavours of Herriot Country Awards 2016 Was a Real Winner! With a record number of entries, some amazing finalists and an impressive line up of winners made this year’s prestigious and prominent awards event the best yet.

The Garden Rooms, Tenants, Leyburn, who are very supportive of the awards, were our perfect hosts again this year, and helped make the awards memorable. They provided a wonderful array of Yorkshire fayre, sponsored by their suppliers.

We had two special new categories and a record number of incredibly high standard entries from across Hambleton and Richmondshire.

There are many awards in Yorkshire, but what makes the Flavours of Herriot Country Awards significant is the sole focus on Richmondshire and Hambleton and giving much-deserved recognition to the great work that goes on out there.

Now in its 5th year, the Flavours of Herriot Country Awards offer these worthy winners the opportunity of well deserved recognition and accolades.

The businesses in these areas are one of the reasons this part of Yorkshire is so special, and through the Flavours of Herriot Country Awards, will receive the acknowledgement they so justly deserve. We encourage everyone to enter, from the one-man-band, new businesses, to the larger well-established companies.

Our Judging panel, headed by The Chair of Judges, Elaine Lemm, had their work cut out, to make the difficult choices on who would make it onto the finalist’s list, followed by much deliberation, discussion, testing and tasting to find the commendable winners from our 14 categories.
